Are these stock prices real-time?

Yes. PythFeeds streams US equity prices directly from Pyth Network's Hermes API, which updates every ~400ms during market hours. After-hours, the last publish time and staleness indicator tell you when the feed last updated.

How do I know if a stock price is stale?

Accepted Answer

Each feed displays a publish timestamp and a staleness pill — green if updated in the last 2 seconds, amber under 10 seconds, red beyond. During US market hours (9:30am–4:00pm ET) feeds typically show green; outside hours they go amber/red as expected.
